Seniors v. Staffordshire

Trailing 4 - 2 after the morning greensomes, despite an impressive maximum 5 & 4 win for Keith Heard and David Goodrham,  a repeat of last years defeat looked likely, against an always strong Staffordshire side.  However, in the afternoon fourballs, the home pairing of  David Dare & Martin Harris repeated their morning success, whilst  Andrew MacDonald & Pete Collins, and Mike Abbotts & Paul Swain were able to reverse their greensomes defeats. Dougie Hill & John Crouch were another loosing pair in the morning. Playing at the rear of the field , they achieved a half to draw the match 9-9.
