NGU Seniors v NGU County Team

Venue:  Staverton Park GC

The traditional opening match of the season took place on Sunday the 27th March at Staverton Park GC. The County 1st team agreed to award the seniors side ¾ handicap allowances, which led to a close fought match.

Three players made their debuts for the senior’s team. They were Keith Heard, Gary Slinn of Northampton GC and Howard May of Peterborough Milton GC.

The match result was a half, 3 wins to each team.

The day was very enjoyable for everyone concerned and a big thank you must go to Staverton Park for their hospitality. Good golfing to all of the County players during the coming season, play well.
