Northants Seniors v Staffordshire
at Collingtree Park on September 14th
It was always going to be a difficult task for the Seniors playing against the new Midland Team Champions and so it proved.
Collingtree Park was in superb condition and the Staffordshire team were very complimentary on the course design and layout.
Thank you to the Members of Collingtree Park for giving up their course and the staff for the excellent service throughout the day.
It was decided before the tee off that we would pay HOLES UP to decide the result.
The morning Greensomes were won by Staffordshire 4 HOLES UP. The afternoon was won by Staffordshire 7 HOLES UP.
The score was therefore 11 HOLES UP or conventionally a win 13.5 to 4.5 to Staffordshire.
The Seniors wished the Staffordshire team good luck in their quest to win the England Team Championship at Gog Magog in early October.
Another, in a series of very enjoyable Seniors matches.
