County Boys team are the best yet again

Northamptonshire Boys team won the Anglian League Final for the third consecutive year with a 9-3 thrashing of Suffolk at Heacham Manor GC.

County men’s champion Charlie Salter and Harry Oddy took the opening foursomes tie on the 18th, before Ben Jones and Luis Witherall doubled the lead with a 5&3 victory in the next game.

Liam McNeela and Corey Neville extended the advantage with victory on the closing hole, before the last pairs match was halved.

Northants wasted no time in exerting their authority in the singles as McNeela and Joe Quinn recorded huge wins as further points from Salter, Witherall and Neville, plus a half from Jones, secured the team victory.
