Seniors v. Cambridgeshire

NGU Seniors were successful in their first competitive match of the season. The away match in Cambridgeshire opening the Anglian Seniors League season, but also counting in the new East Midlands League taking on an even greater than ever importance.

 

With the top 3 pairs making a winning start, the team went into lunch with a healthy lead. The afternoon did not start so well, but following the unfortunate retirement of Cambs player Peter Laughlin, the Northamptonshire tail secured victory with four consecutive wins.

 

Bourn proved to be a very challenging course, with some particularly well designed par 5's. A big thank you to the staff who provided excellent food and to the Cambridgeshire team for their hospitality.

 

 Congratulations to Mark Johnson and Cameron Sinclair on making  successful debuts.

 

Hopefully we can keep the winning habit.
