2017 Ladies Past Captains v Leicestershire match

On another extremely warm day we hosted this highly contested  annual match versus Leicestershire at Staverton Park GC.

This time it was Northant's who came out winners 5 matches  to 3 , some superb golf being played on both sides during the afternoon  on a well presented course , with evil greens !

NGL Ladies Past Captains raised money on the day for the County Juniors and thank Staverton for their hospitality & courtesy on the day, however  as per usual no matches run smoothly, great mirth at the meal where we were expecting ham salad, strawberries & cream, but actuallymwere served gammon & summer veg followed by pear crumble & custard, some ladies suggested at this busy venue in the hotel a society of burly men got our delicate meal.
