2017 Ladies Past Captains with Roses Competition

10th September at Rushden GC

The cost of this event is funded by Northamptonshire Lady Past Golf Captains.

Thanks firstly go to Rushden GC who kindly host this event and the lovely food that followed the game.

A big thank also you to Peter Horsted Junior Organiser and Richard Sharp who organise the Roses lessons funded by Northamptonshire Lady Past Golf Captains, thus bringing the girls to a level of skill & confidence on the course.

Richard Sharp coach to the Roses juniors bought along 12 young girls, the youngest was 9 , what an absolute joy they all were to play with in this Greensomes event

The weather was awful, an absolute gale blew across the course accompanied by drizzling rain, but did it deter anyone ? no we all got round in the most part smiling

A lot of the ladies were outdriven by their partners, lovely swings the girls had, their etiquette was good, a really friendly game was had by all, lots of the parents completed the scene on the course

The winners of the event with 34 points were Di Saunderson & Demi-Lee Petruscke. This was all the more surprising as this was the first game played for the juniors by Demi-Lee, a very proud dad was there to witness this. They received the trophy  vouchers, chocolate & sweets

2nd with 32 points were Liz Crow with Martha Pieterse

A lovely thank you speech was given by Peter Horsted's daughter Ellie-May, this was greatly appreciated by the ladies

President Jackie Rolfe thanked everyone for making it such an enjoyable day, then presented every girl with large bags of sweets to enjoy, thus ensuring they want to come back next year
