Ladies Vets 3rd v Staffordshire match

Monday 9th May 2018 at Druids Heath GC

​Arriving at Druids Heath we (Carol and I) were greeted by a lovely Lady called Christine, who was the President for the Staffordshire County Vets and the current Captain Ann. We then sorted out the order of play, and proceeded to go to the 1st Tee.

Mary Ganley and Betty McGowan were first off, with Carol Clifford and Dawn Mallard Park going 2nd,  Pauline Terry and Linda Johnson 3rd, Linda Adams and Hennie Cordner 4th, Gill Leppard and Elizabeth David 5th. Yvonne Jolly and Lorraine Betts 6th, Anita Smith and Wendy Francis 7th and the last pairing was Doreen Morrison and Paula Simpson.

Carol and myself sat on a bench near the 9th Tee watching the Ladies and having a quick chat before they went on their way. Half way scores were very close in most matches, and all the Ladies were enjoying themselves. There was a bit of grumbling about the Bunkers from both Teams, having difficulty in getting out of them.

When the golf was finished we then sat down and had a lovely meal and both Captains made their speeches.

The Final result was Staffordshire 7 Northamptonshire 1.
It was a lovely day enjoyed by all.
