East Midland League V Leicestershire & Rutland

Peterborough Milton GC August 19th 2019

A beautiful day at Milton on the best presented course we have seen all year, including Coxmoor. The greens were fantastic.

Unfortunately we got off to a poor start in the morning foursomes resulting in a 3 point deficit which was always going to prove difficult to recover from in the betterballs.

A special mention to Richard Cole and Paul Armitage who had the best day by far winning both their foursomes and betterball games.

Also our debutant Tony Lord paired with Vice-Captain Alistair managed to come out a point ahead on the day.

Unfortunately a 6 point draw in the afternoon resulted in a 3 point defeat overall.

We can still manage to retrieve the season somewhat should we beat Lincolnshire next week to be ruuners up in both leagues.
