East Midland League V Notts

Coxmoor GC August 5th 2019

What a difference a few weeks make. This fixture was rained off in "flamling June" which fortunately I was unable to attend. However we returned to a nice day with the course set up in excellent condition ready for the six man team event later in the week.

A very tight morning  round  (first 3 matches halved) saw Northamptonshire just edge in front 3 1/2 to 2 1/2. However the soup and sandwiches invigorated the team who then went on to win 5 of the 6 afternoon matches.A special mention to the last two games (5&6) who each took all 3 points on the day. Well done Mike Burnhope, Dennis Mathers and the ever steady Ted Dunn. So after beating Notts last year for the first time in recent history, we have now done the double, having won home and away.
