The weather looked fine although cold and windy when we arrived at Elton Furze to play our first match of the season against Cambridgeshire and Hunts Past Captains. We won the first two matches but then the opposition came through to win 4 games to 2. Everyone was delighted to come in out of the cold to a warm welcome from Elton Furze with a meal of lasagne and crusty bread.
The match was played in a very friendly manner and after a quick farewell due to the fact that the road towards Peterborough was closed after an accident, we wished everyone a safe journey home. The pictures attached show players wrapped up warm against the cold!
