Seniors Friendly v Worcestershire

Played at Collingtree Park 25th April 2023

The first friendly of the season brought a successful start.

The weather was kind with clear skys and we even had some warmth when the sun came out, however it was still not short sleeve attire.

The morning greensomes was shared with 2 wins, 2 losses and 2 halves so honours even.

The four balls in the afternoon was a different story with 6 wins so everyone contributed in an overall dominant win.

Well played everyone very encouraging for the matches ahead,let’s keep it going.

Today was the first day this year that Collingtree have allowed trolleys on the fairways due to the consistent wet weather. Even with these conditions the course was well presented by the greens staff. Everyone commented on the good speed and consistency of the greens for this time of year.

Special thanks to the staff at Collingtree for hosting from the coffee and bacon rolls in the morning, sandwiches and chips at half time followed by meat and vegetables and the apple crumble dessert.

Worcestershire were very complementary on the whole day and are looking forward to hosting in the return fixture next year.
