Lila Bisset Retains Women's County Championship

Many competitors complemented Northampton Golf Club on the excellent course conditions, despite heavy midweek rain, as it played host to this year's Women's County Championship. 

Lila Bisset continued her recent run of excellent form, retaining her title as County Champion with scores of 72 and 75, finishing 1 over par.   Freya Pickford of Overstone Park took the Swannell Salver for the best net score with 143.  The best team prize is awarded to the club with the best aggregate of three gross scores.  This went to the Northants County Trio of Lila, Amy Nunn and Hattie Billson.  They go on to represent Northamptonshire at the England Golf Women's Champion Club tournament at Hessle Golf Club at the end of August.
