Golf In Northamptonshire

Martin Izzard in conjunction with the Northamptonshire Golf Union has produced a book describing golf in the county between 1876-2008.

The history and development of the Clubs and club profiles are described together with information on courses that have been lost. The book also includes chapters on the Northants Golf Union, the Northants County Ladies Golf Association and the Northants Professional Golf Association. Also included for completeness are chapters on the Midland Golf Union, English Unions and the history of the game itself. 

This full colour book is now available through golf clubs, professional shops and good bookshops. Any profits generated will go to the already established Boys and Girls junior coaching schemes.

1000 copies will be produced and be available for purchase at a cost of £20.

Individual subscribers are most welcome (£20) and they will receive copies signed by the author.

Martin at the US Masters in Augusta where he presented a copy of his book to the USGA for inclusion in their golf library.
