Seniors v. Lincolnshire

NGU Seniors played their last "Anglia Seniors League" match of the season at Market Rasen.
Despite wins for Gary Hardy and Brian O'Connell Northants were unable to recover from a poor start losing the first two games. Although honours were even after 6 matches, Northants were only able to gain one half in the remaining 6. Captain Jim Weston taking his game to the final hole, in his last match as Captain.
The result handed the league to Suffolk on holes up, with Lincolnshire in 3rd place and Northants 2nd each with 9 points. A similar situation last year gave Northants the trophy in 2012 with Suffolk missing out, so in that respect honours are even.
Captain Jim Weston expressed his thanks to Market Rasen Golf Club (commenting on the fabulous condition of the course) and the Lincolnshire Team for the hospitality received.
