NGU Seniors were in a ruthless mood for this key match in the "Anglian Seniors League". A clean sweep in the morning Foursomes with all the matches going to the 8th or 9th holes sent them into the afternoon with a massive advantage. In no mood to let the match slip the 9 1/2 to 1/2 afternoon Singles result was the reward for the efforts of every player.
This result has set up a potential showdown against Lincolnshire at Northampton Golf Club on September 16th in our final game of the season. That game will count in the Anglian and East Midlands Leagues.
A particular "thank you" to Jim Pagan for coming in as a late replacement. Also to David Waite and his staff for looking after us so well, and presenting the course in fine condition.
And a special "thank you" to the players, for playing well and showing a great team spirit. Let's keep it going!!
