Seniors v Worcestershire                                                             Redditch GC 20^TH August 2015

The seniors came up against a strong Worcestershire team, on a high after their Midland 6 man team triumph at Hagley GC a week ago.

The morning greensomes gave some reason for optimism, with new boy John Bishop of Kettering GC securing a valuable point alongside Martin Izzard and Gary Hardy and Peter Collins defeating the Hagley star Steve Carpenter and his partner.

The afternoon however proved to be very difficult, with the Redditch home player’s course knowledge, proving decisive.

Thank you to Redditch GC for providing the course in superb condition with quick and tricky greens.

As always the Worcestershire lads were good value on and off the course.

We all wish Worcestershire success as Midland representatives in the 6 man team finals at Robin Hood GC. They have a great chance of bringing the trophy back to the Midlands.
