The 2nd team at Heydon Grange on 5th May 2016 against Cambridgeshire and Huntingdon consisted of the following Ladies all of whom were wearing the new  County blue shirts.

 

Marian Thory from Elton Furze teamed up with Barbara Bird from Nene Park and ended their match all square.

Nita Pryer and Jackie Rolfe both from Kingsthorpe again ended up all square.

Sandy Burgess from Overstone and Liz Waine from Wellingborough won their match 2 and 1.

Nadia Anderson and Carol Collins both from Kingsthorpe won on the last hole 1 up.

 

Gina Boreham with her partner Carole Page both from Northampton narrowly lost on the last hole.

Irene Rhodes and Glenys Emery again both from Northampton lost 2 and 1 in a very close game.

Jane Ashby and Vicki Lyness both from Pytchley Lodge lost 3 and 2.

 

It all came down to the last match out on the course as Cambridgeshire were leading 3 and a half to 2 and a half and then the two ladies from Northants County Golf Club, Laura Steedman and Sue Lane came up to the last hole one hole ahead and then managed to win the last hole and give us an honourable half.

The games were played in a competitive but friendly manner and well done to all the ladies who took part. Many of our ladies had never played the course before and although the ball travelled well on  the fairways  there were some inconsistencies with the greens and rough.
