Seniors v. Nottinghamshire
Played at Staverton Park GC on Thursday May 26th
This was always going to be a close match. Nottinghamshire the reigning Midland
League East champions and ourselves the Anglian league holders.
Played on a superb day at a Staverton the course in great condition. The new head green keeper has certainly made his mark.A big thank you to the Staverton staff who made us all very welcome and fed us well.
The morning foursomes were halved and the afternoon four balls came down to the last putt on the18th green to decide the match.
Our next league match is against Lincolnshire at the County course, also a crucial match in the Anglian league.
Well played to Tim Johnson from Kingsthorpe and Geoff Dyson from Peterborough Milton who carried his clubs all day.
