Seniors v. Warwickshire
4th July 2016 at Nuneaton GC.
Nuneaton GC was in fantastic condition, with very fast and hard to read greens.
We had two players making their debuts, Neil Brown, of Peterborough Milton and Stephen Bates of Cold Ashby. Both enjoyed their day and are looking forward to more County Seniors fun.
The Nuneaton staff looked after us all very well and the Steak and Ale pie followed by Eton Mess was very filling.
The result was a win for Warwickshire by one point, 91/2 to 81/2.
Result of the day was myself and Paul Swain defeating old foes John Chambers and Roger Sutherland (Warks Captain) 6 and 5 in the afternoon better ball.
A superb day for everyone, played in a good spirit, on a great course.
