A below par Cambridgeshire Seniors team suffered the backlash of a Northamptonshire team still smarting from the recent defeat to Norfolk.
A record breaking win was recorded by the home team. This is a dual Anglian league and Midland league East fixture. The result was a 14 to 1 win in the Anglian league and a 17 to 1 win in the Midland league east.
Ian Kerr of Peterborough Milton sadly played his last league game for the County before a move to Scotland. We all wish Ian a very long and happy future.
Thank you for your commitment to the team over a number of years.
The course at Milton was in excellent condition, with the greens running at 10.3.
Thanks also the catering staff who served up an excellent evening meal.
This win now sets up a potential league decider away to Lincolnshire on the first of September away at Waltham Windmill.
Well played to all of the players, it was a great day to be watching.
