Match result: Northamptonshire Seniors 4 Leicestershire Seniors 14.
This was a day to forget for the seniors. Even though some of the scores were very close, the depth of the Leicestershire squad was evident to see.
Thank you to Whittlebury for hosting the match and to the players their efforts.
Despite the result, everyone enjoyed the day and the banter at the dinner table was not dimished by the result.
The focus must now be on the Lincolnshire match on the first of September at Waltham Windmill near Grimsby.
A win will put the seniors in a strong position to retain the Anglian league title.
