Seniors v. Nottinghamshire
Woolaton Park Nottingham. 25.05.17
A Reality check.
On a very hot day, the Seniors played a Midland league East fixture at the very picturesque Woolaton Park.
The morning four somes were mostly very close with no more than two holes between the Counties in five of the matches.
The afternoon better ball matches followed a similar pattern .
However, the home team came out of what in fact was a close match 14 points to 4 victors. No excuses we were just not good enough on the day.
This was a very disappointing result for the Seniors who went with great hopes of a good result.
We are still on course to retain the Anglian league, which is always our main priority.
The Seniors next fixture is against Shropshire and Herefordshire at Collingtree Park on the 5th June.
