Ladies Vets 1st v Warwickshire match

Monday 18th June 2018 at Staverton Park GC

We arrived at Staverton when it was still quite overcast, however it  did not take long for the sun to come out, which made playing golf very pleasant. The Warwickshire Captain Pat, had already arrived, so we decided to get the paperwork done, as we were both playing in our Teams. With the draw all done, Ida and myself teed off first, I wanted to be in first, to meet the  rest of my team when they finished their matches. Ida and myself played with Sue and Carol and had a very enjoyable game. Staverton was in excellent condition as always, and when the sun was out so werethe beastie's, they took a liken to some of the Ladies, myself included, leaving their bites on legs and arms. Plenty of cream and sprays were passed around between us to soothe the bites we received. When everyone was in, we headed over to the hotel for our dinner. The food and service was excellent, after the meal speeches were made from Pat and myself and it was time to home.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank the Ladies from Northamptonshire for supporting their County Vets Team today, it was really good to see everyone enjoy themselves.
