Ladies Vets 2nd v Cambridgeshire match

Monday 21st May 2018 at Old Nene GC

The first Match for the 2nd Team, was  away to Cambridgeshire at Old Nene GC. I had played there a long time ago when it first opened, and was looking forward to returning. I was met by Gracie the Lady Captain for Cambridgeshire, who was a lovely Lady, and then both Teams began to arrive.

The weather was glorious, there was a slight breeze which kept you cool, as we all sat outside on the veranda. We were only 15 Ladies, instead of 16, so I had to brush the dust off my golf clubs, as I was going out first on my own against 2 lovely Ladies Rose and Mel. I just have to mention, we had a mother and daughter playing together which was great.
Old Nene is a 9 hole course, so you went round twice, but on the second round  it was from further back tees This made the second round quite interesting.
When we came in, we all sat down to a lovely Buffet,  with a lemon tart for pudding. All the Ladies had a great day on both sides.
