Ladies 2nd Team v Worcestershire & Herefordshire match

Monday 15th April 2019 at Gaudet Luce GC Worcestershire

Our first match of the year was played at Gaudet Luce Golf club in Worcestershire. The morning golf
started with the Foursomes. It was a sunny day, no rain but the wind was chilly, first off was Claire Lindsay and Katie Amos, Lorraine Guilder and Nicki Turbayne were 2nd, and Charlie Astbury with Linda Sherry playing 3rd. Well done to Lorraine and Nicki winning 2/1. 
 
After a light lunch we were on the course again for the singles matches. Claire was out first leading the team, and won her match 3/2 well done Claire.
 I was out on the course with our County President Ken Hignett and his lovely wife Barbara, who had travelled to watch us play. I would just like to say thank you for coming to support us at our 1st match of the year, it was great to see you both. Also my thanks go to Katie's parents who gave their support on the day.
I would also like to thank my team for their commitment and dedication on the day, I was very proud of everyone, you all played so well that the overall scores do not show that fact.

The result from the day was Worcs & Herefordshire 6 1/2  ,  Northamptonshire 2 1/2
