2019 Ladies Vets 2nd v Bedfordshire match
Thursday 15th August at Colmworth GC
The day before the match the weather wasn’t good it rained all day and my thoughts were this will be the one and only match that we wouldn’t have good weather.
When I got up in the morning we had sunshine, my luck had changed to have another sunny day of golf.
I arrived at Colmworth Golf Club to a lovely old building which was once an old farm house. I sat down with Kate Price Bedfordshire’s Captain to write the cards out for the order of play.
I saw the ladies off up to my tee time, (I was playing fifth with my playing partner Katie Ashton, our opponents were Kate Price and another Carol, how weird was that, two Kates and two carols) Northamptonshire’s President Jane Ross game to the match to support me and the team and she saw the last three games off.
The course, the weather and the food was lovely. Thank you to Colmworth Golf Club and to all Northamptonshire’s ladies who played.
The Final result was Bedfordshire 5 Northamptonshire 3.
This was my last match as captain for 2019. I have enjoyed being your captain so thank you to all the ladies who have played in all nine matches throughout the year, also thanks goes to Jane Ross our President for supporting me and the ladies at the matches.
The final result throughout the year was played nine, won 5 and lost 4.
