Seniors Friendly v Bedfordshire
The Bedford GC, 17TH May 2019
The fixture with Bedfordshire was finally arranged. I am pleased to be able to say that we had a fantastic day and we were made really welcome by The Bedford and the team.
Bedfordshire fielded a very strong team containing a Welsh internationsl squad member!And some fantastic golf was played by all. A measure of this was the match I played in with Alan Freeman. We were 5 under gross in the afternoon and lost 2&1 to at total 7 under for our opponents-what a day.
No doubt you have gathered by now that they were just too strong for us and the home team won 10 v 5.
We look forward to this being a regular fixture in the years to come and look forward to the rematch in Northamptonshire next year.
