It's Great to be back

With last year's fixtures wiped out by the Covid pandemic, it was a joy to be back playing again.

Milton was in great condition with fairways running and greens in excellent condition.The match was reduced to six fourballs due to Covid restriction.

Worcestershire fielded a strong side, and whilst we were outgunned on the handicaps front, we always felt we were in the hunt, knowing the course better than our opponents. The top order got us up to a great start with good wins for Alan Freeman& Andrew MacDonald and Richard Cole& Roger Butler. The last four matches all went to the final hole . Greg Thomas &Alistair Heslop and Ted Dunn& Simon Orrey managing to get across the line for an 8-4 victory.It was great to see fellow team members again and welcome Gary Grimmitt, Greg Thomas, Ian Townsend and Simon Orrey , who were making their debuts for the team.
