East Anglian MGU Seniors Match v Leicestershire

A valiant effort against our rivals from Leicestershire. The 12-6 score does not reflect how close the match was overall.

A warm welcome from Kilworth Springs and as always from Leicestershire. This included the weather as it was bright and breezy and I dare to say warm in the sun traps.

The morning foursomes score of 4-2 gave us a chance in the afternoon fourballs. All games in the afternoon were close with 4 of 6 going to the 201 yard par 3 18th hole.

There was a high standard of golf played by both teams with birdies the requirement to win a hole.

A win in both the last 2 games would have produced a halved match. The last 10 holes in the final game were all halves which underscores how competitive and close the day was.
