Northamptonshire Women's Vets 3rd match v Staffordshire
8th May 2025 at Druids Heath GC
The first match of the season took place on Thursday 8th May at Druids Heath in Staffordshire. This was for the third team and there were sixteen players a side who played a four ball betterball match.
The golf course was in excellent condition considering we have had little rain for quite a considerable period of time. The team lost five games to three but most importantly all that I spoke to said they had really enjoyed their games and meeting new people. The day itself was quite cold. My watch was telling me it was 15 degrees centigrade but it felt more like 6.
The day concluded with a delicious meal together and we look forward to welcoming them back to Northamptonshire next year.
