Competition report
A very windy day and some incredible tough pin positions caused the majority of player to struggle to score well.
The Blackburn shield is played for by the over 75’s in the group and was won by Mike Robertson (Whittlebury) with 33pts
The ‘younger’ players challenged for the Silver Salver
This year with an excellent score of 39 points was new member Barry Harding (Daventry)
Nearest the pin was picked up by Phil Horne (Kingsthorpe), who managed to score an impressive 2 under gross on the par 3’s
AGM
At the AGM, Rod Gibbs (Wellingborough) handed over the role of President to Peter Coles (Whittlebury). This is Peters 2nd stint as President of the NGL Captains
Peter Clarke (Wellingborough) was appointed as Vice President
David Hill (Kingsthorpe) was appointed as Secretary
& Mike Peace as Auditor
Thanks were given to Ivan Roy (Overstone), who has stood down after years of service as Secretary.
Match schedule for 2026 was presented with a new opportunity for Northants to enter an inter-counties event at St Mellion in October
