Review of 2018: Dominant wins in NGL Scratch Leagues

Northants County and Wellingborough produced dominant performances in 2018 to regain their NGL Men’s and Ladies Scratch League titles respectively after missing out the previous year.

County’s success in the men’s competition was built around a nucleus of talented young members as they recorded some impressive wins, including thrashing defending champions Wellingborough at home and away.

A combination and youth and experience helped Wellingborough’s Ladies to the 2018 Scratch title as they collected four wins out of four matches.

Collingtree Park’s men enjoyed a stellar year as their Scratch team were promoted to the second division, the Intermediate League side won the final, while the Handicap League side lost out to Brampton Heath in the final.

Peterborough Milton also picked up two titles as the Ladies won the Intermediate League, while the club’s youngsters beat Kettering B in the Junior League.
